Safety Pin Heart + Pirates 20/10/2005

It is time to visit our sister site www.safetypinheart.com.  As with Melpix it is still in the beginning stages but will very soon become a fully fledged gig photography site.  All photos are taken by Shiv, who also runs and maintains the site.  Check it out nowwww!! <--- sung like Brendan Benson sings, "Spit it out now!"

Also some more Melpix cartoons have been published in Woroni.  If you attend ANU go pick up your free copy!  The theme is pirates. ARRRRR!

Face Lift + Noise.net.au Competition 13/10/2005

1. I have lifted the website's face.

2. What photos should I enter in the noise competition?  I cannae decide.  If you are one of the few people in the whole entire world who just read this you deserve a tequila sunrise or at the very least your own personal invitation to make a suggestion on the guestbook or on my LJ about what photos you think I should submit.   That was your personal invitation just then by the way. I didn't say individual invitation.

3. The dots will disappear soon.  It's alright. I have a headache too.

Both gallery sections have been updated and the layout of each modified.  In the Bands section old photos of Motor Ace, Dappled Cities Fly and Tucker B's have been uploaded.  In the Other section Perth sceneries, sunsets, aeroplane and random photos are now available for viewing in the gallery format.  How many links can Mel put in one paragraph?  Woo-hoo...

You say Maximo, I say Park 4/10/2005

Photos uploaded of Nova Castrians (psycho English scissor kicking type, not the bogan Australian type) Maximo Park, playing at zee Metro in Sydney on the night before last.

Maximo Park is also an actual place... I never thought of that.

New links of the moment are I Like Gigs and The Smallhours.  I Like Gigs should have some photos of Maximo Park etc up sooner or later as well I should think.

Gallery for Starky added.  Maximo Park coming soon.  Watch this space!!! (for an indefinite amount of time and boil the kettle at the same time so you are not only multitasking but ensuring that it does indeed boil).

About section added for no real reason except to put off doing things I don't want to do that little longer.  I am still deciding whether or not I should bother taking my camera to Maximo Park tomorrow night.  I don't want it to die!!  Go read the About section for something to do.

I've added more galleries (Red Riders + Youth Group, Pretty Things) because "Hell! who needs a university education when there are photos of bands etc to upload to the internet!?" Not Mel, evidently.  I think if I was a dentist I'd call my practice "Ever Dentally Dentistry".  I should copyright it.  Also you might notice the guestbook. One person has.

Galleries Added 18/09/20058

I've added cartoons and photos of The Vandas, The Midnight Juggernauts and Treetops to the site. Also, I ate a beetroot 'n' cashew dip and bacon sandwich for lunch.

What's new punk? 17/09/2005

Welcome to my new super-duper fantastic website bought to you by mega ultra warm leg warmers and not-so-hot hot chocolates (but it's ok they have chocolate topping writing on them that tells you otherwise).

Here you can find galleries of photos I have taken, mainly of live bands but also of other various things that take my fancy then chew it up and spit it out again.

The most recently added galleries are of Australian indie pop bands Dappled Cities Fly and The Boat People at Come Together 2 at Sydney's Luna Park and can be readily accessed by clicking on the corresponding photos you can see if you go left three times in quick succession. 

Once galleries become old they will be added to a list on the far right that doesn't exist yet, so stop looking for it because you won't be able to find it and then who will feel silly looking for something that doesn't exist, especially when you've recently been told it doesn't? (edit. It's there now. I'm pretending there were old galleries when really all galleries have been added today. Tricky!)
